She said her journey on America's Got Talent has been a whirlwind, but she's so grateful – not only for the opportunity to grow her artistry, but also to shine a light on indigenous people everywhere.

Simpson is a member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe, and she has never forgotten her Halifax County roots.

She understands how impactful it can be to chase your dreams on a public platform, and she hopes to inspire others.

To other young people like her who have a dream in their heart, she says, "Don't let anything stop you from chasing your dream, no matter if it's your skin color or background, your age, nothing should ever stop you."

"Chase it fearlessly and authentically," she said.

When will Simpson return to North Carolina?

She says she'll have an announcement coming soon on that because she does want to come and celebrate her America's Got Talent journey with the fans who've supported her from the start.
