GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Broadway hit "Hamilton" is bringing its national tour to the Triad for the first time.
The show will play the Steven Tanger Center for the Performing Arts on April 6-24, 2022.

"Hamilton" tells the story of Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War. The musical is known for its hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B and Broadway music.

The Tanger Center hasn't even opened yet, but has more than 16,000 Broadway Season Seat Members for its inaugural season. Those season seat members will have first access to "Hamilton" tickets. A limited number of season seat memberships are still available for purchase.

Tickets for "Hamilton" will go on sale to the general public at a later date.

"Hamilton" wowed sold-out audiences at Durham Performing Arts Center in 2018. The show will return to that venue May 17-June 5, 2022.
