FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police asked Thursday for help to identify three people suspected of shooting a man at a carnival in Fayetteville on Wednesday night.

The man worked for the carnival, which was operating in a parking lot at 6900 Cliffdale Road, had been involved in a disagreement with another man on Tuesday, police said, and that carried over to Wednesday.

At least three men came to the carnival and attacked the carnival worker, and one of them shot him, police said. He was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of a wound that wasn't considered life-threatening.

Fayetteville police are trying to identify three men who attacked and shot a carnival worker on Cliffdale Road on April 28, 2021.

In addition to assistance in identifying the three assailants, investigators said they also are interested in talking to any witnesses or looking at any cellphone video of the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 910-635-4978 or Crime Stoppers at 910-483-TIPS.
