Another vehicle overturned after the driver hit a patch of black ice on Eagle Rock Road near Lake Glad Road. The driver lost control of a work van and overturned. Two more trucks also slid on the ice before NC DOT showed up and laid down sand.
Drivers are advised to remain cautious while driving until road temperatures begin warming up. Black ice looks just like a wet road, so most drivers don't realize they are on ice until they begin to lose control of their vehicle.
