Montana man found dead, washed ashore on NC coast

A Montana man was found washed ashore on Friday morning in Caswell beach, according to officials.

CASWELL BEACH, N.C. — A Montana man was found dead on the shore of Caswell Beach Friday morning, according to officials.

The man was identified as Jon Eden, 78, from Bozeman, Montana.

Officials said that he was a frequent visitor to Caswell Beach, but had no other ties to Brunswick County that they were able to determine.

His cause of death is also not yet known because his autopsy is still processing.

No other details were released to the public at this time.
