FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Cumberland County homeowner shot and killed a suspected burglar Wednesday night, authorities said.

Deputies went to a home in the 500 block of Snow Hill Road at about 8:30 p.m. in response to a reported burglary. The homeowner, 46-year-old Tony Libson, told deputies two masked individuals broke into his home and shot him, but he was able to return fire.

Deputies found Henry Miller, 23, dead outside the home. The second intruder is believed to have fled after the shooting, possibly in a white sedan, authorities said.

No charges have been filed in the case.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 910-321-6592.
