CARRBORO, N.C. — After a few pop-up events, award-winning Italian chef Teddy Diggs has announced where his Roman-style pizzeria, Coronato, will be located.
Coronato is being built in the South Green shopping center in Carrboro, at 501 S. Greensboro St. It is expected to open in spring 2019.

Coronato will serve up thin-crust, crunchy-style pizza created from Diggs' secret dough recipe. The menu will also include snacks, seasonal antipasti, craft beer, prosecco on tap and select Italian wines.

Until the restaurant opens, Diggs will continue to host pop-up events around the area.

Diggs was most recently the executive chef at Il Palio in Chapel Hill. He left at the end of June, and former Il Palio chef Adam Rose returned in July.
