WASHINGTON, D.C. — Starbucks has officially opened its first signing store in the nation's capital.

The store is designed to serve the deaf and hard of hearing community.

The company says it's working to open stores that serve diverse communities where its stores are located. This store opened in a bustling hub of Washington, D.C. that is known to be a deaf-friendly neighborhood.

Everyone in the signing store is completely fluent in American Sign Language -- plus, the Starbucks will offer employment opportunities for the deaf and hard of hearing.
