According to WRAL meteorologist Mike Moss, Sunday will be calm and pleasant, with highs in the low 60s and just a slight chance of drizzle or a sprinkle in the morning.
Moss said the chance for rain will decrease as the day goes on, making for a sunny, beautiful afternoon in the Triangle.
Thunderstorm warnings expired at 1 a.m. for much of the viewing area as storms threatened to bring damaging winds, hail and lighting, to central North Carolina.

Some areas, including Henderson, saw large hail in the overnight storm, and a woman was transported to the hospital after heavy rain caused her car to lose control and crash into a pole on Sawmill Road in Raleigh.
Thursday and Friday will be sunny again with temperatures in the low 50s.
