Wake Forest water service restored after second main break
A 12-inch water main in Wake Forest ruptured on Wednesday for the second time in two days, restricting traffic on Durham Road and cutting off water service to several neighboring homes.
Posted — UpdatedCrews from the City of Raleigh returned to the 700 block of Durham road to repair a break in a section of pipe that was installed on Tuesday, according to a news release from the town. Durham Road from Capital Boulevard to Tyler Run Drive was narrowed to one lane while crews worked on the repair.
Several residents who live on Durham road, and neighbors on Magnolia Forest Court, Oakwood Estates, Hope Street and Richland Drive, were again without water service.
Service was restored by 7:15 a.m. on Wednesday.
