Final Fire tickets go on sale Wednesday
The Got to Be NC Competition Dining Series will crown its winner next month in Raleigh. Tickets for the Final Fire rounds go on sale Wednesday.
Posted — UpdatedIt's all the culimination of the Competition Dining Series, a statewide tournament highlighting North Carolina's food, agriculture and culinary talent.
The Final Fire series, held Nov. 19-22 at The Renaissance Hotel at North Hills in Raleigh, will feature five chefs battling it out "Iron Chef" style. Chefs will prepare six courses highlighting "secret" ingredients. It will be a "blind tasting" so diners won't know who made which dishes. Diners will vote on each course, via smartphone, to help determine the winner. Professional judges, including local chefs and celebrities, will also be on hand to vote.
Chefs drew knives last week to determine the schedule for the Final Fire series:
Nov. 22: Nov. 20 winner, versus Nov. 21 winner
The Final Fire winner will receive $4,000 cash, two handmade chef knives by Ironman Forge and a trip to the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone in Napa Valley, Calif., compliments of Kikkoman and the Pro Chef Program.
Tickets for the first three battles are $129 each. Tickets for the final championship battle are $139 each. All ticket prices exclude beverage, tax and tip.
Last year, Adam Hayes and his team from Red Stag Grill in Asheville took home the title.
