Durham man charged with murder in July 3 shooting

Durham police arrested a 20-year-old man Monday and charged him with murder in the July 3 shooting death of an 18-year-old.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police arrested a 20-year-old man Monday and charged him with murder in the July 3 shooting death of an 18-year-old.

Lequan Kashawn Wilson, of Durham, is accused of killing Marquise Keshawn Mangum, also of Durham, in the 900 block of East Main Street shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Mangum was found lying in a breezeway of a multi-residential building. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be a random incident. No other information was released.
