CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — Cumberland County deputies are searching for a motorcycle taken from a disabled veteran.

The 1999 Harley Davison Heritage Softail was last seen on Feb. 19 while parked on the 2400 block of Camp Lejeune Court. The motorcycle was secured on a trailer in Calvin Teeple’s son-in-law’s driveway.

“The theft has put a damper on honeymoon plans for Teeple and his new wife,” the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “The couple was en-route to Florida to celebrate their marriage and had stopped over in Cumberland County to visit family.”

The blue and white bike was last seen on a chrome transport trailer. The license tag is Pennsylvania XR-55086.

Anyone with information about the bike’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 910-323-1500 or call 911.
