Minor earthquake reported in Virginia
The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a magnitude-2.3 earthquake struck in the county at 12:27 a.m. Friday. The epicenter was 6 miles south-southwest of Louisa.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a magnitude-2.3 earthquake struck in the county at 12:27 a.m. Friday. The epicenter was 6 miles south-southwest of Louisa, or about 215 miles from Raleigh.
No injuries or damage were immediately reported.
In 2011, the county was struck by a magnitude-5.8 earthquake.
