Henderson Company Plans To Rebuild After Fire

Posted — Updated

HENDERSON, N.C. — Days after a fire at E.T.C. of Henderson left the plant in ruins, officials say they plan to rebuild.

Cleaning the damage and replacing seven buildings will take months and costs millions of dollars, but Peter Demetriades, president of E.T.C. of Henderson, predicts a quick rebound.

"We have three buildings over here that were spared -- Thank goodness," Demetriades said. "There was stock in there. We have an operation that was spared that will allow us to cut products and make products. We'll be back quickly."

Officials say all 71 E.T.C. of Henderson employees get to keep their jobs and are even getting Christmas bonuses.
