RALEIGH, N.C. — To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Videri Chocolate Factory is copying a move from famed fictional chocolatier Willy Wonka.

The downtown Raleigh chocolate shop has placed a "golden ticket" under one of its 70% Classic Dark bars. If you find it, you will win $500 worth of Videri chocolate.

And that's not all! The shop is celebrating on Sunday, Jan. 23, by giving away an edible gift card each hour from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can check back daily to see what the card is worth. The longer you wait to eat it, the more value it could have.

The bean-to-bar production factory and retail store opened in December 2011 in the old home of Ess Lounge in Raleigh's Warehouse District. At the time, the shop only sold three bars: 60% Classic Dark, a 60% Sea Salt and a 55% Dark Milk.

Ten years later, the menu now includes a variety of bars, confections, soft serve ice cream and an on-site coffee bar.

Videri is the current WRAL Voters' Choice Award winner for best local chocolate, an award they have won seven years in a row. The shop has also won Good Food Awards and was featured in GQ.
