9 family-friendly ways to spend this long Labor Day weekend

North Carolina FC will host the Union Omaha at 7 p.m., Saurday, Sept. 4, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary.

Check out all kinds of remote controlled model aviation at the Wings Over Springs Charity Electric Fly In at Sugg Farn, 2401 Grigsby Ave., Holly Springs. Gates open 8:30 a.m. and it runs until 5 p.m, Saturday, Sept. 4. It's free to watch.

The African American Cultural Festival will take place in downtown Raleigh with events on both Saturday, Sept. 4, and Sunday, Sept. 5.

Sanderford Road Community Center, 2623 Sanderford Rd., Raleigh, will be hosting a touch-a-truck event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 4. Kids can get a close look at all kinds of different large trucks and vehicles. A no-horn hour will be from 11 a.m. to noon for guests with sensory issues.

Stomp stops at the Durham Performing Arts Center for three shows this weekend. Tickets start at $24.50. Guests must be age 6 and up.

Old Mill Farm in Durham will host a County Line Country Fair Saturday, Sept. 4, to Monday, Sept. 6. Admission is $10. Activities include games of skill, sack races, a cake walk and more.

Carraway Village Drive-In will screen the new Marvel movie "Shang-Chai and the Legend of the Ten Rings," starting Friday, Sept. 3. Be sure to get your tickets in advance.

And the N.C. Museum of Art will host a free family-friendly tour from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 4. It's best for ages 4 to 10 with their adult caregivers.
