Weekend family fun: A roundup of Florence-related changes for weekend of Sept. 14 to Sept. 16
This weekend, however, we all need to be focused on the weather report. Just about everything is postponed.
Posted — UpdatedWhat’s up this weekend? Well ... there were lot of big annual festivals and events, which families love each year. Unfortunately, Hurricane Florence is messing up those plans as it’s expected to hit the Triangle late Thursday and into Friday. That could make for a very messy weekend and is forcing organizers to cancel or postpone their events.
Here are some of the big cancellations:
The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro is closed through at least Friday.
Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh will close at noon, Thursday, and remain closed Friday.
The Museum of Life and Science is closed Thursday.
The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences and the N.C. Museum of History is closed Friday through Sunday.
