Young woman shot in Wake Forest
A young woman walking with a male acquaintance was shot on Christmas night in a wooded area along the 600 block of East Wait Avenue in Wake Forest.
Posted — UpdatedThe woman, 23, said two men approached the pair, shot her in the right leg, then all three men ran off. She walked to an apartment on North Allen Road where she called police.
The woman's injury was not believed to be life-threatening.
Wake Forest police did not release the names of any of the people involved a motive for the shooting or a description of the alleged shooter. They asked that anyone about the incident call the police department at 919-554-6150.
