Wreck closes Wade Ave. in Raleigh at Faircloth

A wreck on Wade Avenue near Faircloth Street Friday afternoon downed power lines and closed the major east-west Raleigh thoroughfare.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wade Avenue has reopened near Faircloth Street after a wreck Friday afternoon downed power lines and closed the major east-west Raleigh thoroughfare.

A Raleigh police spokesman said that a single car hit a power pole at around 2 p.m., but that the driver suffered only minor injuries.
