We have some exciting changes coming to the WRAL weekend anchor desk.

Renee Chou will co-anchor the weekend evening newscasts with Ken Smith, beginning Saturday. She'll continue to fill in on the anchor desk during the week.

Bruce Mildwurf will co-anchor the weekend morning newscasts with Sloane Heffernan beginning June 23.

Please join me in congratulating Renee and Bruce!

Renee is awesome.

I really like both Renee and Bruce. Congratulations to both of you!

Congrats! I like Renee and Bruce. Love Ken Smith and Sloane too. Kim left a few weeks ago, didn't say why except she'd have more time with family. Not sure if her choice or not.

what happened to Kim D. in weather?

Renee does a super job. One of the best on WRAL. Congrat's to both Renee and Bruce.

There's no mention of poor Ken Medlin being replaced by Mandy Mitchell. Missing Ken. He's a great sports anchor.

Really like Renee's presentation of the news - keep it up, and congratulations!!

I like Bruce! Good reporter.

bruce...just stop trying so hard to be funny...please.

Congrats to Renee and Bruce! WRAL-TV 5 News is the standard-bearer for local, regional and statewide news on tv in this market, and I'm glad to see these two promotions! Good luck to both of you from a Capitol Broadcasting alum! Keep up the GREAT work!
