The Amtrak Silverstar was traveling from New York to Miami when it struck the woman at Maynard Road and Old Apex Road at about 10:30 p.m.

<b>CARY, N.C.</b> — A woman was struck and killed by an Amtrak train Monday night in Cary.

Authorities said the Amtrak Silverstar was traveling from New York to Miami when it struck the woman at Maynard Road and Old Apex Road at about 10:30 p.m.

None of the 156 passengers on the train were injured.
