Woman sexually assaulted in Durham alley
Police said Tuesday that they are investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Sunday in an alley between Ninth Street and Iredell Street in Durham.

DURHAM, N.C. — Police said Tuesday that they are investigating a sexual assault that occurred early Sunday in an alley between Ninth Street and Iredell Street in Durham.
A woman was walking in the alley around 12:30 a.m. when a man armed with a knife pushed her to the ground and assaulted her, police said. The woman was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital.
The woman was able to provide only a vague description of her attacker.
