Woman's death ruled a suicide

Police have ruled the death of a woman found last week inside a Fayetteville hotel room as a suicide.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police have ruled the death of a woman found last week inside a Fayetteville hotel room as a suicide.

Rita J. Artrip, 64, of 342 Co. 529 Highway Sikeston, Mo., was found inside the Fairfield Inn at Cross Creek Mall around 12:45 p.m. Friday without a pulse.  EMS crews were called to the scene in an attempt to revive her, but they were unsuccessful.

Authorities did not release any other information about Artrip's death.
