MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — A woman died early Monday after a home in the 100 block of Bass Lake Drive in Mount Olive caught fire, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

The home was engulfed in flames when emergency crews arrived at about 7 a.m.

When firefighters were able to enter the home, the found Sharon Kascask lying on the floor of the master bedroom.
