Durham police said that the woman, whose identity was not released, was struck by a car at the intersection of Duke University Road and Chapel Hill Drive as she attempted to cross the street at about 6:30 p.m.

<b>DURHAM, N.C.</b> — One woman was injured Thursday evening after being struck by a car near Duke University.

Police said that the woman was transported to Duke Hospital with serious injuries.

The incident was under investigation Thursday night and no charges had been filed in the incident.
