RALEIGH, N.C. — Police arrested a Clayton woman Sunday in an early morning shooting near the intersection of Capital Boulevard and Starmount Drive in Raleigh.

Shekeyta Denyal Spells, 25, was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. She is due in court Monday afternoon.

Police say Spells and Antoinette Lashay Jackson, 20, got into an argument at Kangaroo gas station and that, when they met later, Spells shot Jackson in the neck.
