FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County investigators have arrested a woman accused of breaking into tractor-trailer trucks parked at rest areas and truck stops along Interstate 95.

Deputies charged Crystal Lynn Clark, 36, of 88 Nina Road, Maxton, with one count of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle after a trucker sleeping in the truck awoke to Clark allegedly opening the truck's cab door, authorities said.

Deputies arrested Clark a short time later on southbound I-95.

Clark also faces charges of misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen goods and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle in a similar crime from December.

Authorities in Robeson County arrested Clark for a similar crime in August, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said.

Clark was jailed under a $5,000 bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center and was scheduled to make her first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
