Woman accused of breaking into tractor-trailers at Cumberland truck stop
Cumberland County investigators have arrested a woman accused of breaking into tractor-trailer trucks parked at rest areas and truck stops along Interstate 95.
Posted — UpdatedDeputies charged Crystal Lynn Clark, 36, of 88 Nina Road, Maxton, with one count of felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle after a trucker sleeping in the truck awoke to Clark allegedly opening the truck's cab door, authorities said.
Deputies arrested Clark a short time later on southbound I-95.
Clark also faces charges of misdemeanor larceny, possession of stolen goods and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle in a similar crime from December.
Authorities in Robeson County arrested Clark for a similar crime in August, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said.
Clark was jailed under a $5,000 bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center and was scheduled to make her first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
