RALEIGH, N.C. — A 78-year-old woman died after being hit by a vehicle while crossing a Raleigh street Wednesday evening, police said.

Nannie Evans Bullock, of Raleigh, was trying to cross Cross Link Road, between Dandridge and Hadley drives, around 7 p.m. when she was struck by a 2005 Ford pickup. Bullock was pronounced dead at WakeMed.
