Win tickets to see '1,000 Blue Butterflies' at the Museum of Life and Science!

In July, the Museum of Life and Science is offering an up-close look at one of the world's largest and most beautiful butterflies during a release of 1,000 Blue Morpho butterflies in its Magic Wings conservatory.

In July, the Museum of Life and Science in Durham is offering an up-close look at one of the world's largest and most beautiful butterflies during a release of 1,000 Blue Morpho butterflies in its Magic Wings conservatory.

During these releases, you can explore the museum's 35-foot tall conservatory, surrounded by tropical butterflies and an exotic indoor rainforest. Visitors can chat with the museum's entomologists and talk to a horticulturist about the plants that the butterflies flit between.

These special releases are 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 3 p.m., Sunday, from July 1 to July 31. They are free with admission to the museum.
