Wilson woman, 29, charged with stabbing teen boy

A 15-year-old boy was stabbed during a Thursday evening argument with the mother of his half-siblings, Wilson police said.

WILSON, N.C. — A 15-year-old boy was stabbed during a Thursday evening argument with the mother of his half-siblings, Wilson police said.

Police said that Alexandria Denise Gear, 29, of 517-A Minchew St., stabbed the boy inside a residence at 2003 Black Creek Road around 8:15 p.m.

The boy suffered a wound to his torso. He was treated at Wilson Medical Center, then transferred to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville. His condition is stable, police said Friday morning.

Gear was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. She was being held in the Wilson County Jail under a $25,000 secured bond.

Gear shares several other children with the victim's father, police said.
