BLACK CREEK, N.C. — Wilson County authorities were searching Sunday night for a man who they say got away from police in an officer's patrol car.

A police officer in the Wilson County town of Black Creek pulled over Anthony Scott Jordan, 41, of 604 Harper St., Wilson, around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, and while the officer was searching his vehicle, a handcuffed Jordan, who was sitting in the passenger side of the patrol car, drove off.

The officer suffered minor injuries while trying to stop the car.

Jordan, who authorities say should be considered armed and dangerous, had been wanted for allegedly setting fire to his ex-girlfriend's house on Crawford Road in Black Creek.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact the Wilson County Sheriff's Office at 252-237-2118.
