Deputies arrested and charged William Graves, 39, of 1104 Third St., with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury and attempted armed robbery.

Derrick Steven Adams was found wrapped in a sheet on N.C. Highway 91, authorities said. He was later taken to the hospital.
