Willow Spring man charged with murder of 2-year-old girl in Florida
U.S. Marshals arrested a Willow Spring man last week in Fayetteville after authorities said he killed his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter in a Florida hotel.

Brandon Michael Smith, 36, was arrested on March 28 and charged with the murder of Alayna E. Williamson, of Seagrove.
Jacksonville, Florida authorities said police were dispatched to a local hospital on March 22 in reference to a victim with serious injuries. Police determined the victim, Williamson, was at a local hotel prior to the hospital.
Due to the severity of her injuries, Williamson was taken to the trauma center where she later died.
Investigators determined Williamson died from multiple blunt force trauma to the head and named Smith, the mother's boyfriend, as the suspect.
Authorities issued a warrant for Smith on March 24, and he was located by Marshals four days later in Fayetteville.
Smith was transported back to Jacksonville.
