Willow Spring man arrested, charged for bringing gun onto school grounds
A 34-year-old Willow Spring man was arrested Friday morning after he brought a gun onto school grounds, authorities said.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — A 34-year-old Willow Spring man was arrested Friday morning after he brought a gun onto school grounds, authorities said.
According to investigators, James Smith Whitlock, of 121 Oak Ridge Drive, carried a black semi-automatic 9mm pistol onto the grounds of the Ravenscroft School in north Raleigh.
Whitlock was charged with bringing a gun onto educational property and terrorizing the public.
He is scheduled to make his first court appearance Monday.
