Weldon man arrested on counterfeit charges

Weldon, N.C. — The Halifax County Sheriff's Office seized counterfeit clothes, shoes, handbags, DVDs and CDs worth an estimated $20,000 Saturday in a traffic stop.
Authorities arrested Adam Flowers, 30, of Weldon, on charges of criminal use of counterfeit trademarks and carrying a concealed gun.
A K-9 officer targeted Flowers' SUV after for a search after Sgt. Will Shaw stopped him on U.S. Highway 158 on a traffic violation.
Flowers was being held on $2,500 bond.
