Wayne men charged in double stabbing

Two Wayne County men face accusations that they stabbed two other men in mid-May, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

DUDLEY, N.C. — Two Wayne County men face accusations that they stabbed two other men in mid-May, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

Daniel Jimenez Hernandez, 23, and Santos Romero-Rivas, 23, both of 126 Mobile Circle in Dudley, were arrested Thursday in connection with the May 17 attack. Maj. Tom Effler said that the two victims were seriously injured but have recovered enough to be released from the hospital.

Both suspects were charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. Hernandez faces an additional charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Hernandez was given a $150,000 secured bond, and Romero-Rivas a $50,000 secured bond.
