MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide after a couple was found dead inside a home Tuesday evening in Mount Olive.

Deputies responded to 638 Waller Road , where Tyrone Beamon Jr., 27, and Shaundrea Juanette Milhouse, 21, of Knightdale, were found dead inside.

Two children, ages 3 and 1, were also inside the house but were not injured, authorities said. They were put in the care of family members.

A man who said he was Beamon's cousin said Wednesday that Beamon's mother had been trying to reach him for several days and went to his home to check on him around 3:30 p.m. She found the couple in a bathtub and the children unharmed.

Beamon's mother, Wanda Green, did not want to talk about the case Wednesday, saying only "I'm just going to miss my son. The way his life was taken, he didn't deserve it."

Authorities have not commented on a cause of death or possible motive for the crime. Crime scene investigators were seen at the home Wednesday morning dusting a door for fingerprints.

Autopsies were scheduled Wednesday to determine the cause of death for Beamon and Milhouse.

Neighbors said Beamon moved into the house a couple months ago and that he and Milhouse were dating.

Anyone with information about the homicides is asked to call the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at 919-731-1481 or Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.
