DURHAM, N.C. — Water service was turned off to some Durham water customers while contractors did work Saturday morning.

The contractors were working near N.C. Highway 54 and N.C. Highway 55 in the Research Triangle Park, said Dwayne Holbert, a crew chief for Durham Water and Sewer Maintenance.

Water service was cut off for some area businesses and residences from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., Holbert said.
