DURHAM, N.C. — Two Durham county facilities were closed early Tuesday because of a lack of water service, officials said.

The Durham County Human Services Building, at 414 E. Main St., and the Criminal Justice Resource Center, at 326 E. Main St., closed about 3 p.m. after a contractor working on the building hit a water main on Queen Street, severing the main water line to the buildings.

Tuesday evening classes at the Criminal Justice Resource Center are canceled.

Officials said repairs are under way and the buildings are expected to reopen Wednesday morning.
