Warrenton volunteer firefighter charged in break-in

A volunteer Warrenton firefighter and Warren County EMS worker was arrested early Tuesday in connection with a residential break-in, authorities said.

NORLINA, N.C. — A volunteer Warrenton firefighter and Warren County EMS worker was arrested around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday in connection with a residential break-in, authorities said.

James Earnest Moody Jr., 19, was charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, Norlina Police Chief Charlie Barker said.

He was held in the Warren County Detention Center under a $500 secured bond. Authorities released him Tuesday morning.

Warren County EMS Director and Fire Marshal Chris Wright said he was discussing possible disciplinary actions against Moody with county officials. There was no word on his status with the Warrenton Fire Department.
