RALEIGH, N.C. — A 21-year-old man is facing charges for multiple sexual offenses after police said he repeatedly met a 14-year-old at a Raleigh hotel for sex.

Yancarlos Evera Aguilar-Orzoco is charged with two counts of first-degree statutory rape, two counts of indecent liberties with a child and contributing to the delinquency on a juvenile.

According to a search warrant, Aguilar-Orzoco was in a relationship with the 14-year-old girl for several months before his May 15 arrest, despite being advised by the girl’s mother to stay away.

The warrant said Aguilar-Orzoco and the girl met at the Wake Inn Hotel on New Bern Avenue and that Orzoco had paid to stay at the hotel on multiple occasions.

The charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile stems from a May 1 incident, in which the girl’s mother filed a police report after the girl left home without permission and was possibly in a vehicle that matched the description of one owned by Aguilar-Orzoco.
