Wake woman who walked away from assisted living facility found

A 68-year-old Wake County woman who walked away from an assisted living facility in Raleigh Sunday evening has been found, authorities said.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 68-year-old Wake County woman who walked away from an assisted living facility in Raleigh Sunday evening has been found, authorities said.

A Silver Alert was issued for Margaret Jackson Woodcock, who is believed to have dementia or some other cognitive impairment, shortly before 9 p.m. An hour later, a sheriff's office spokeswoman said she had been located.

Woodcock walked away from Elsie's Place, at 10916 Raven Rock Drive, around 5:30 p.m.
