CARY, N.C. — Wake County students will have a few extra days off after district officials announced three make-up days will be canceled.

According to the district, classes will no longer be held on the following days:

  • Saturday, April 7 for year-round students
  • Saturday, April 14 for year-round students
  • Monday, June 11 for traditional calendar students
According to a post on the Wake County Public Schools website, the district is able to waive the make-up days because students have accumulated sufficient classroom time to meet state requirements.

“We are making this decision now because we can reasonably anticipate that no additional loss of school days will occur,” district officials said.
