Wake Forest Police Reopen Road After Gas Line Repaired

Authorities have closed both eastbound and westbound lanes of Highway 98 from Tyler Road and U.S. Highway 1 in Wake Forest after a construction crew ruptured a gas line.

WAKE FOREST, N.C. — Police reopened N.C. 98 in Wake Forest after workers repaired a ruptured natural gas line that had disrupted traffic for almost 12 hours.

Wake Forest police had closed both eastbound and westbound lanes because a construction crew ruptured the line in the Oakwood Estates area.
