WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A Wake Forest man has been charged in at least four vehicle break-ins throughout the town, according to an arrest warrant.

James Thomas Jackson, 36, faces four counts each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny and one count of resisting a public officer.

The vehicle break-ins occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the stolen items included cash, a wallet, purse, make-up bag and Stanley multi-tool, the warrant states.

Wake Forest police said that additional charges against Thomas are pending.

State Department of Correction records show that Thomas has a criminal record dating to 1994 and multiple convictions for larceny and breaking and entering. He was most recently released from jail in March after serving about four months for twice violating a protective order.
