Wake Forest man charged in connection with ECU bomb threat
An East Carolina University student from Wake Forest was charged Wednesday in connection with a bomb threat made to the campus residence hall where he lives, authorities said.

Reshaun Donovon Pintard,19, is charged with making a false bomb report, which is a felony. He was held at the Pitt County Detention Center under a $10,000 secured bond.
Campus police said they were alerted to a social media post about the bomb threat to Umstead Hall about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The 250 students who live in the hall were evacuated to the library while officers searched the building. They were allowed to return about 3 a.m.
Pintard, a first-year student who enrolled last fall, is no longer at the university, officials said.
The bomb threat was not related to a vague social media threat that campus police reported Tuesday.
“We continue to investigate the previous threat to campus,” campus police Lt. Chris Sutton said. “At this time, we have no knowledge in a change of status on that case. We take any threat to campus seriously. If someone jeopardizes the safety of students, staff, faculty or visitors to campus, we’ll work that report.”
Sutton said officers were able to act quickly on the residence hall threat because Campus Living staff alerted them promptly.
“I want to reinforce to the campus community: If you see something, let us know,” he said.
