WAKE FOREST, N.C. — A Wake Forest man was arrested Wednesday and charged with reckless homicide in a 1992 wreck in Illinois.

The charge against Scott Alsip, 53, of 329 Amherst Creek Drive, was filed and a warrant issued for his arrest in 2002, according to court records.

Records state that investigators believe that Alsip was speeding and under the influence of alcohol when his 1982 Mercury rear-ended a motorcycle, "unintentionally" killing driver Terry Turban on May 7, 1992, in Lake County, Ill.

Alsip was in the Wake County jail Thursday morning under a $250,000 secured bond. He was awaiting extradition to Illinois.
