— A man killed his wife, then attempted to take his own life inside a home near Garner Wednesday evening, authorities said.

Wake County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to 9937 Huntwyck Drive at about 5:20 p.m., where they found Martha Yses Campusano Cisneros, 32, and Emilo Rodriguez-Rizo, 47, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Cisneros was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez-Rizo died en route to WakeMed, authorities said.

Authorities believe they were the parents of three children, ages 3, 4 and 11. The children, who are currently with relatives, were inside the home when deputies arrived.

"Those three kids. What bothers me, I don't know what they saw or what they heard," Wake County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said.

Neighbors were shocked by the incident.

"Seems like a great family," said Andy Holt, who lives across the street. "Great family, very nice people. I've never heard any commotion of any kind."

Neighbors said the couple had lived in the home for at least three years.

Paragraph 3: "Cisneros was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez-Rizo died en route to Wake Med, authorities said."

I'm fairly certain that paragraph clears it up.

    SMDH....

My thoughts and prayers to the families and children of these two people. What a sad and horrible thing to happen.

Horrific and life-altering for those three children. Awful, just awful. I will never understand how anyone could take away the mother/father of their own child(ren). Think of your kid(s) first, no matter how angry or upset you are.

The first line is "A man killed his wife, then attempted to take his own life inside a home near Garner...."

The article then goes on to say "Cisneros was pronounced dead at the scene. Rodriguez-Rizo died en route to WakeMed"

The article is worded correctly. He shot her and tried to kill himself in their home. Police, etc., arrived and he was still alive. He then died on the way to to the hospital.

My heart aches for these poor kids, to lose both parents in such a violent way this close to the holidays...

Awww, poor babies - now, no mommy or daddy - and what horrors might they have witnessed??? So very sad - just hurts me so bad.

The poor kids. It's not fair that 1 adult can forever alter the lives of the kids he or she swears to love. Just like the guy in PA - did he not think for 1 second that his kids would suffer when their whole family was killed in 1 day? And did he think his kids would forgive him and love him if he had lived?

Those poor children...i hope they have a loving support system. Tragic!

Who cares? 2 people died leaving 3 kids with no parents. Very tragic, and I hope the kids end up okay. Yet you are worried about the editing of the article . . smh.

Thoughts and prayers for the family, especially the children. What a terrifying thing to witness. I hope they receive proper therapy to help cope with the tragedy. So sad!
