Wake County inmate found dead in cell
A Wake County Detention Center inmate was found dead in her cell on Jan. 5, 2014.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Wake County Detention Center inmate was found dead in her cell Sunday.
Catena Danyelle Sanders, 39, of 7529 Stuart Dr. in Raleigh, was found unresponsive in her cell at approximately 6:25 p.m., the Wake County Sheriff's Office said. Detention officers performed CPR on Sanders before paramedics arrived and determined that she was deceased.
An investigation is ongoing.
Sanders was arrested by Raleigh police on Dec. 27 for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
